Black Glass (Unfinished)
It’s darkness on both sides of the argument
On one side you have rants induced by spliffs and liquor sips
Some legitimate, but not carefully calculated like missing digits
A side that’s quick to draw like a fast sketch contest
That sees fame as progress and the demise of others as their conquest
Even if their lyrics are honest to find any form of decorum you’d be hard pressed
Their appearance…heartless
But can you blame ‘em?
How do you tame misplaced messages filled with aggression?
And their only form of expression is to send messages in formats that reach the masses
The other part of this equation or problem is that far too often their opposition isn’t starving
Meaning they can’t relate and equate whatever answer they come up with as the solvent
The intellectuals who seem to know what’s best for you
Although they haven’t bought a ticket to your movies so they haven’t invested in your view
So for both sides I’m addressing this for you
A sort of conduit to conflict resolution
I’m armed with opposing views that make this execution more reality than illusion
And if my goal is elusive then I hope my opulence of knowledge alone can offer up a truce
To the authority figures who feel it’s their jobs to fend for…Mentor
Don’t simply stand on your soapbox from spots that aren’t adjacent to blocks
Instead of furthering yourself from responsibility be the bridge that eliminates the gap between (Unfinished)
